BECAUSE SCIENCE Explores the Damage Gambit Could Do with His Cards

It is no secret that Gambit is my favorite character from X-Men. I just love his character and his character design. His ability allows him to use energy to charge objects and cause them to explode. Of course, his signature weapon is a deck of playing cards. We often see these cards used like grenades to do some serious damage, but how much damage could they actually do? Kyle Hill decided to look into this very question using real science. Hill finds that the cards would be deadly, but not as deadly as we are led to believe. However, we are also treated to a bit of knowledge about what materials Gambit could use to create more explosive weapons.

The Ragin' Cajun is known for his explosive power and his signature weapon of choice, playing cards, but how dangerous could they be? Kyle stacks the deck on this week's Because Science!
