Boyd Holbrook Discusses THE PREDATOR and Says Schwarzenegger Isn't Expected to Be in It

I'm pretty stoked about seeing what writer and director Shane Black is going to give fans with his upcoming film The Predator. We really don't know much about the story, but we do know for sure that the Predator will be on the hunt.

During a recent interview with We Got This Covered, The Predator star Boyd Holbrook (Gone GirlJane Got a GunNarcos) talked about the movie, revealing that the movie is not a sequel and that it will give us something completely new and different. Also, if you're expecting to see Arnold Schwarzenegger make an appearance, you might be disappointed. He says:

“I’m currently working on Predator. It’s not a sequel; Shane Black has made something totally new, somehow keeping within the realm of Predator [while also being] absolutely new in terms of the story that we’re talking about today, and rooted in something real. It’s real fresh. I don’t think you’re going to see [Arnold] Schwarzenegger. It would kind of make it a gimmick. It’s horror, science-fiction and a western.”

From what we know of the film so far, Holbrook will play a special forces commando named Quinn McKenna. He will lead an ensemble cast that includes Sterling K. Brown (Black Panther), Olivia MunnTrevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Thomas Jane, and Jacob Tremblay

The Predator is on track to be released on February 9th, 2018.
