New Adult Swim Promo Features Genndy Tartakovsky's PRIMAL, but What does It Mean for Season 3?

Genndy Tartakovsky is currently in the middle of developing the third season of his awesome prehistoric series Primal.

The first two seasons have followed the story of Spear and Fang, and it’s been awesome! The second season has a pretty definitive ending for the two characters, so fans have been really curious about what Season 3 will entail.

We haven’t had a lot of updates on the next season, but Tartakovsky previously teased: “I have something in mind that is so spectacular I cannot wait to do it, and we're trying to figure out how to do it.”

He explained: “It's a brand new world, but I'm so into it. I think everybody's going to love it. It's a very natural progression without giving anything away, but I've got more things for the Primal world and I cannot wait to do more.”

Tartakovsky previously shared: "I have an idea that I'm really excited about, one idea that's rising to the top. After doing five seasons of Samurai Jack, two seasons of Primal, all the Clone Wars that we did, I've done so many battles and action.”

He continued: "If I was going to do it again, what would I do? How can I make it interesting to me and the audience, so it's not just a repeat of what I've done? That's why I was so excited about Primal.”

“I haven't done caveman-style fighting. He's got no skills, it's just rawness. To choreograph fights like that was really fun. Pushing it into a season 3 of Primal, if it gets there, what's different? What can I do that I haven't done?"

The promo spot that Adult Swim shared features Primal, but these kinds of promo spots don’t usually tie into the canon or tease future events. But, the fact that this one has a big focus on Lord Darlington from the Season 2 episode, "The Primal Theory" fans are wondering what that could mean.

Will the character be in the new series? Could he a descendant of Spear's bloodline? I mean, the way the promo plays out could be teasing that.

We’ll just have to wait and see, but I’m excited to see what Tartakovsky has got cooking.
