The Flash Will Reportedly Face Off Against The Rogues in His Solo Movie
I think it's fair to say that Batman has the best Rogues Gallery of villains, but The Flash might have some of the most ridiculous bad guys in comics. Mirror Master? Weather Wizard? Really? It's like the guys at DC who came up with this stuff were backed into a corner with their deadline and just spitballed these characters into existence at the last second. (I say all of this with love, because I actually really enjoy a majority of the Flash villains.)
As the DCEU continues...whatever it is they're doing over there, some news about the upcoming solo film The Flash has hit the internet. El Mayimbe (who started Heroic Hollywood and now works at The Wrap) revealed in a Periscope broadcast that the Rogues will be the villains of Rick Famuyiwa's movie. Traditionally, the main Rogues include Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Pied Piper, The Trickster, The Top, and the aforementioned Mirror Master and Weather Wizard.
Mayimbe wasn't specific about the lineup for the film, but it makes a certain amount of sense that by the time we get to The Flash's solo film in a few years, we may have seen enough of these villains pop up in other movies (like Jai Courtney's Captain Boomerang from Suicide Squad) to justify that decision.
I realize this is incredibly unlikely, but how amazing would it be if they got Mark Hamill to reprise his role from the '90s live-action Flash series as The Trickster?
