This Algae Curtain May Lead to Healthier Air in Cities

If you’re concerned about the lack of trees in cities, there may be something in the works to help calm you down. Photo.Synth.Etica is essentially a giant curtain that uses algae to help create oxygen and clean the air. I’ve lived in some places with terrible air quality and can only hope that something like Photo.Synth.Etica will be able to actually be widely developed. According to the video below from Mashable, EcoLogicStudio is aiming to start large scale production soon and I can only pray that cities adopt a project to help clean the air and help people breathe.

Photo.Synth.Etica may look like an abstract art piece, but really it might be a glimpse into the future of smarter, greener cities. The "curtain" is made of modules that have algae which suck in carbon dioxide and other air pollutants, and then spit out some clean, clean oxygen.
