Ben Stiller's GREENBERG Movie Trailer

Ben Stiller has made a lot of stupid silly movies recently in his career, and I was really getting tired of seeing him play that same wacky guy over and over again. I think it's fine to do that stuff every once in a while. I mean, he's good at it, but all the time? It just gets old. His last good movie was Tropic Thunder and he still played "that guy" in it. It looks like he's finally doing something a little different with this new film, Greenberg, which is best labeled as a dramady. The film also stars Rhys Ifans, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Greta Gerwig. Greenberg (Ben Stiller) is at a crossroads in his life. Out of a job and none too interested in finding one, he agrees to housesit for his younger and more successful brother, thereby getting a free place to stay in Los Angeles. Once settled in, Greenberg sets out to reconnect with his old friend and former bandmate Ivan (Rhys Ifans). But times have changed, and old friends aren’t necessarily still best friends, so Greenberg finds himself spending more and more time instead with his brother’s personal assistant Florence (Greta Gerwig), an aspiring singer and herself something of a lost soul. As their relationship develops through a series of embarrassingly awkward romantic encounters, even someone as irascible as Greenberg might have at last found a reason to be happy. This little indie film was written and directed by Noah Baumback, who directed Kicking and Screaming, Mr. Jealousy, The Squid and the Whale, and Margot at the Wedding. Focus Features will release the film March 12th 2010. Watch the trailer below and please share your thoughts on it with us.
