Moon Director Duncan Jones Teams up with Jake Gyllenhaal for SOURCE CODE

Moon director Duncan Jones' next film project has been announced today called Source Code, and Jake Gyllenhaal is currently in talks to star in the project. If you haven't seen Moon yet, then you've missed out on a fantastic sci-fi movie that was one of my favorite films of the year. When the movie hits DVD, make sure you check it out!

Source Code centers on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown commuter and is forced to live and relive a harrowing train bombing until he can determine who is responsible for it. Vendome Pictures and The Mark Gordon Co. is producing the film, and it will be distributed by Summit. I've been looking forward to seeing what Jones would direct next and this sounds like it will be a pretty intense project.

We've also been very excited for the most recent film he's been developing, Mute-- the Blade Runner type sci-fi film he is trying to get off the ground. He will still eventually get around to it, don't count it out. Jones said via his twitter account,

For those asking, Mute still in the plans, just slightly delayed. It’s a hard sell.. whereas Source Code came with an offer hard to refuse.

So there you have it, and offer he couldn't refuse. One thing for sure is that Source Code has got some talented people getting involved and Duncan Jones has proved with Moon, that he is a very talented director. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with this flick.

What do you all think of his new project?
