Atwell, Davalos and Pike testing for ONE SHOT opposite Tom Cruise

Hayley Atwell, Alexa Davalos and Rosamund Pike are currently testing to star opposite Tom Cruise in One Shot. Christopher McQuarrie wrote and is directing the film based on Lee Child 's 2005 crime thriller. THR reports that McQuarrie and Paramount had been testing the actresses over the weekend.

Atwell recently burst onto the scene opposite Chris Evans in Captain America. Davalos was last seen as Andromeda as Clash of the Titans, and has been seen in Defiance, The Mist and The Chronicles of Riddick. Pike has been seen recently in Made in Dagenham and Barney’s Version. She also starred opposite Carey Mulligan in An Education.   

One Shot centers on "a Jack Reacher, an ex-Army cop who gets sucked into the mystery surrounding the arrest of a sniperaccused of killing five random people in a shooting. The female role is that of tough lawyer and daughter of the discrict attorney." Filming is slated to begin in Pittsburgh this fall. 

I would love to see Atwell in the role, but she may be a bit young for Cruise. What are your thoughts on this news? Who would you like to see in the role?
