UPDATE: Kevin Conroy Clears up ARKHAM Game Confusion
Scroll below the video for the update:
I remember hearing last month that Kevin Conroy, the iconic voice of Batman, wouldn't be back for Batman: Arkham Origins. The rumor was that Warner Bros. wanted a younger actor for the game. Well, those rumors are wrong because Conroy himself confirmed at Dallas Comic Con this past weekend that he will be reprising the role in the highly anticipated game! He couldn’t talk much about the game, but he said that he's been working on it for the past nine or ten months, that it’s going to be amazing, and that is has a huge cast and a big story.
You can watch the panel with Conroy below, and you can also check out the recently released teaser trailer for the game here. I'm so happy to hear that he'll be back. It's always hard to hear someone else try to take on the Dark Knight. It's just never as awesome.
In Arkham Origins The Batman is voiced by Roger Craig Smith. As for Conroy's statements this past weekend, he cleared things up with this recent tweet in which he says...
Confusion in Dallas! I am in new ARKHAM GAME coming soon, NOT ARKHAM ORIGINS coming this fall.
The tweet was then deleted, because apparently he wasn't supposed to let everyone know that there was another Arkham game coming soon. Here's a screen shot though thanks to Batman-News.
