BAD BOYS FOR LIFE Directors Are Looking For The Right Character To Take on at Marvel and/or DC
The directors of Bad Boys For Life, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, are living the Hollywood dream and being given the opportunity to direct movies. After Bad Boys For Life was released, the offers started rolling in and they have described their journey as "living a fanboys dream."
The filmmakers are still in the process of figuring out what their future plans are, but both Marvel and DC have reached out to them about directing possible films. They’ve met with both Marvel and DC but they have yet to move forward on a film project with either of them. They are looking for the right character to take on, though.
During an interview with CB, Arbi said:
"We're huge Marvel fans but it was just talks at this point. There was nothing yet concrete. If we find something that we really love and that fits to our personality then, yeah, for sure, we go for it. It would be an honor to work with them. We are exploring at this point. We are looking for what is the right character, right storyline to go. If they have something, if we have something, I hope that very soon we find something and we can work with Marvel or DC, as well."
When talking about the characters they grew up with that inspired them, they said:
"Spider-Man came to us. When we were young, we watched the cartoons of Spider-Man and obviously the first movies. It was mostly DC characters like Superman and Batman that we really loved. For us, we grew up with them and, personally, always Batman."
While they continue to figure out what kind of comic book property they would want to take on, the two directors are currently working on Beverly Hills Cop 4 for Netflix. They are also up for directing a fourth Bad Boys movie if the studio wants to move forward with it.
After watching Bad Boys For Life, are there any Marvel or DC characters that you’d like to see the directing duo take on?
