Bill and Ted Are Looking Dapper in a New Photo From BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC

We’ve got a new photo to share with you from Bill & Ted Face The Music, and it features Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves back in the roles of Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted "Theodore" Logan. As you can see, they are looking pretty dapper as the Wild Stallions at some kind of special occasion. Are they a band that’s been hired to play at a wedding? Are they celebrating some kind of occasion involving their daughters? I’m not entirely sure what’s going on, but we’ll eventually find out!

A trailer for the film should be dropping sometime in the near future, and there’s no doubt that fans will be excited to see the first footage from this movie! While we wait for that, director Dean Parisot talked about the film with Empire Magazine and teased the story:

“We’ve gone from a homework assignment to saving all space and time. We bypassed all those possible traumas in the middle. They have an hour and 18 minutes. So they’re in trouble. And let’s say that they have to travel all over the place to try and figure it out.”

Sounds like things are going to escalate quickly in the next chapter of the story for these characters! The script for the film was written by original franchise screenwriters Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, and this is the synopsis:

"Bill & Ted Face the Music will see the duo long past their days as time-traveling teenagers and now weighed down by middle age and the responsibilities of family. They’ve written thousands of tunes, but they have yet to write a good one, much less the greatest song ever written. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it. Out of luck and fresh out of inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on a time travel adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe as we know it. Together with the aid of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends, they find much, much more than just a song."

When previously talking about the story, Matheson explained:

“They were told when they were teenagers that they were going to save reality, and they’ve been working on it the whole time. Now an emissary from the future comes and says, ‘You’ve got to do it right now. We’ve got literally 80 minutes or all of reality will come to an end.’”

The film also stars Amy Stoch and Hal Landon Jr. as Missy and Ted’s dad; Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine as the daughters of Bill and Ted; Beck Bennett as Ted’s younger brother, Deacon; Jayma Mays and Erinn Hayes as the wives of Bill and Ted; Kid Cudi, and Anthony Carrigan as the villain.

The movie is set to be released on August 21st, 2020.
