Chris Pratt Says There Are Awesome Ideas For THE LEGO MOVIE 2 and Breaking the Fourth Wall

The Lego Movie was probably one of the greatest surprises ever. When I first heard it was being made, I was deeply worried that it wouldn't be good, but after seeing it, I couldn't be more pleased. It did everything right and with such a successful movie, we all knew the studio would make a sequel. The first film ties itself up so nicely, though, at the end of the film. In the third act, it completely breaks the fourth wall, and that might make developing a sequel a little difficult. Many fans have wondered if they will just ignore the end and try telling another story in the lego world, but Chris Pratt recently mentioned in an interview that they have some awesome ideas on how to handle it:

"The first movie is a very difficult movie to create a sequel to because, as all the best movies do, it paints itself into a corner. Especially by tearing down the fourth wall in the final act. That's a major jump, so they've got some really awesome ideas on how to deal with that and I can't wait for people to see it."

So it seems like they may just address the fact that they live in a world controlled by gods that are just human, or maybe they'll Toy Story it up. Which I hope isn't the case. Let Toy Story be Toy Story and this be this. Whatever they do end up doing, I'm sure it will be wonderful, and I can't wait to see it.
