Chris Pratt Wants Star-Lord to Be a Father Figure to Groot as Their Story Continues

We get to see a very different dynamic with the Guardians team in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, especially with baby Groot. This is a pretty much a new and very different character than Groot from the first film, and I loved it!

His character is going to continue to grow and evolve throughout the next two Avengers films and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 along with the rest of the characters. While talking to CB, Chris Pratt talked about what he'd like to see from the characters in future storylines. In regards to Star-Lord he says:

"It's cosmic. We're expanding. I'm curious to see what his history with the Ravagers was. Cosmic karma could be coming his way for being a little rapscallion for all these years.

He then went on to talk about some of the other characters and how he would like Star-Lord to be a father figure to Groot, which is something that I would love to see explored! Especially after watching Vol. 2.

"I like the idea of his becoming a father figure to little Groot. I like the idea of further exploring the dynamic between he and Gamora and trying to keep the Guardians out of trouble. I love him helping to explore the origins of the other characters and getting deeper into the other characters. It's really kind of endless. I hope we get to tell all of those stories."

I hope they get to tell all of those stories as well! It'll be interesting to see how the story arc's for these characters play out in the Avengers films, but I'm super excited to see what James Gunn will do with them in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3!
