CREEPSHOW is Getting an Animated Halloween Special with Kiefer Sutherland and Joey King

Just in case you didn’t know, production on the second season of Shudder’s Creepshow series had to be put on pause due to the pandemic, which is going to push the premiere of the new episodes to next year. But, don’t worry, fans will be getting a new episode in October!

This episode will be an animated special that is being directed by series creator and showrunner Greg Nicotero and it will feature the voices of Kiefer Sutherland and Joey King.

The Creepshow Halloween Special will consist of two stories. The first is “Survivor Type,” based on the short story by Stephen King. Sutherland plays “a man determined to stay alive alone on a deserted island no matter what the cost.

The second story is titled “Twittering from the Circus of the Dead,” which is based on the short story by Joe Hill and adapted by Melanie Dale, it stars King as “a teen whose family road trip includes a visit to the gravest show on earth.”

Nicostero said in a statement:

“Halloween wouldn’t be complete without Creepshow, so with the help of the father and son team of Stephen & Joe as well as a fantastic animated format, we get to continue the tradition and spirit of Halloween.”

The Creepshow Halloween Special will debut on Shudder on October 26th, just in time for Halloween!
