DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Concept Art Reveals an Interesting New Look For The Hero
Marvel is celebrating the release of Daredevil: Born Again by showcasing some of the show's concept art in a fresh lineup of comic book variant covers.
Fans of Daredevil will get an up-close look at Matt Murdock's new design which comes from Marvel Studios’ Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding and Visual Development Supervisor Jackson Sze.
The "Marvel Television Variant Covers" will grace the pages of Daredevil #20-#21, as well as Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell #2, starting in April.
Each cover highlights original costume illustrations and concept art straight from the show, including Daredevil’s revamped suit.
One of the more interesting pieces depicts Matt Murdock battle-worn, wearing a button-up shirt and tie, with a red tactical mask and gripping the shattered remains of his cane. I wonder if we’ll get to see this brought to life in the series.
aredevil #20, by Saladin Ahmed and José Luis Soares, launches a brand-new story arc, bringing back the hero’s sleek black armor as he takes on a new villain.
And in Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell, creators Charles Soule and Steve McNiven take Matt into the future, where an older, grizzled Murdock is forced to don the mask once more.
