DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Will Feature a Spider-Man Reference From Kingpin

Wilson Fisk is apparently keeping tabs on Spider-Man. In Daredevil: Born Again, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin makes a direct reference to the web-slinger, adding fuel to the fire of fans hoping for a proper crossover between Spidey and the Man Without Fear.

During an interview with Jake’s Takes, D’Onofrio revealed that in the second episode of the series, Kingpin mentions “a kid dressed like a spider.”

While we don’t have full context yet, it’s pretty clear that Spider-Man is active and swinging around in New York City, and its soon-to-be mayor if aware of him.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Spider-Man and Daredevil have crossed paths in the MCU. You’ll remember Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock providing legal counsel to Peter Parker (Tom Holland) in Spider-Man: No Way Home. That moment was brief, but it set up the connection between the two street-level heroes.

In the comics, the dynamic of these characters has been explored for decades. Their contrasting styles such as Spidey’s agility and wisecracks versus Daredevil’s brutal precision and brooding demeanor would make a great team-up in the MCU as they battle the Kingpin of Crime and New York City's Mayor, Wilson Fisk.

So, what are the chances of this actually happening? With Daredevil: Born Again arriving on Disney+ on March 4, we’ll soon find out just how deep this Spider-Man connection runs.

Until then, I’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a full-blown crossover. Marvel Studios would be stupid not to make this happen.
