Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance Releasing on October 6th

Disgaea as a series is close to my heart, if only for how unapologetically unique and weird it is, so it brings me great joy to finally have an official release date for its next generation debut. On October 6th, you’ll be able to grab the game from your retailer of choice, or if you’ve got some extra coins to spend, you can net yourself the special Launch day edition, which comes with an art book and the accompanying soundtrack.

Making its return is the item world, where every axe, hat, and pretty much anything else you happen to pick up along your journey also has multiple randomly generated dungeon levels hidden inside them where you can pick up other characters, special bonuses, and even rarer items. Nippon Ichi has also promised that your ragtag group will be exploring more of the netherworld than previous releases. Check out some new screens above, as well as a new trailer below.
