Disneyland's STAR WARS: RISE OF THE RESISTANCE Attraction is a Truly Epic and Awesome Experience

I recently took my family to Disneyland this past weekend. It was a much-needed experience. As you know this has been a rough year for a lot of people, but aside from the pandemic mess, our family has been going through some rough and heavy times on a personal level. There’s been a lot of emotions and a lot of weight on our shoulders. So, spending a day at the happiest place on earth is exactly what we needed.

The one thing that I wanted to experience while I was there was the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction. I know it’s been open for a while, but I had never been on it before. It’s not a guaranteed ride to get on, though! You have to attempt to get a spot in line on a virtual queue on the Disneyland app. Luckily, we managed to do that, but when our time came to get in line for the attraction, the ride broke down and they didn’t know if it would be back up and running!

I was super bummed out, so to kill some time we went to walk around and jump on another ride. After about an hour we learned that Rise of the Resistance opened back up so my daughter and I rushed over to get in line and in less than 15 minutes we were walking on the ride!

I had somewhat of an idea of what to expect, but nothing could have prepared me for the awesomeness that this attraction delivers! As you go through the attraction, the intensity just builds, and it gets more and more insane! This is hands down one of the greatest Star Wars experiences ever! It’s even better than the Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run ride, which is awesome. My daughter and I were just completely blown away by it!

I was constantly in awe and I had a huge smile on my face through the whole thing. Owen Wilson would be proud of how many times I said “wow” on the ride. It’s complete and utter Star Wars madness! The team behind this attraction pulled off something incredible and it’s everything a Star Wars fan wants! It exceeded my expectations.

Most of the ride takes place on a First Order Star Destroyer and one of the things that impressed me the most was the epic scale of it all! You may have watched videos of this ride online, but I’ll tell you… those videos do not truly capture the scale of this attraction. You need to experience this in person to get the full effect of the epic scope that Rise of the Resistance delivers.

The Resistance needs your help! Hidden in the forest outside Black Spire Outpost, the Resistance is gathering recruits for a secret mission.

With the First Order desperate to extinguish the spark of the Resistance, the mission is bound to have unexpected twists and turns. When your transport is captured by an imposing First Order Star Destroyer filled with legions of stormtroopers—and even Kylo Ren!—you’re going to need all the help you can get. Fortunately, a covert team of Resistance fighters—including Rey and BB-8—is at the ready to give you a fighting chance to escape… and a chance for the Resistance to rise.

Damn, it was just so cool! So, if you end up going to Disneyland or Disney World and you haven’t been on Rise of the Resistance, you’ve got to experience it! Make it a priority! It’s one of the best and most awesome rides that Disneyland has to offer!
