DOCTOR WHO Season 2 Trailer Teases Big Mysteries and a Reluctant New Companion
The full trailer for Doctor Who Season 2 has arrived, and with it teases the Doctor’s latest adventure with his new companion, Belinda Chandra, played by Varada Sethu.
Belinda isn’t exactly eager to jump into the chaos of time travel. As she tells the Doctor outright, "I am not one of your adventures. You need to get me home."
But going home might not be so simple, especially given the lingering question of why her face already appeared last season as Mundy Flynn in Boom. Even the Doctor acknowledges the strange connection, telling her, "There is something already connecting us."
Of course, the trailer may have teased the return of Mrs. Flood, as it may be her saying “I love a good show” at 1:05?” She became a major enigma at the end of Empire of Death.
Showrunner Russell T Davies promises answers, previously saying: "I promise you next year, great answers to that, great solutions. I cannot tell you how much joy and fun we had with this story.
“Anita Dobson – I’m laughing out loud! – Anita Dobson’s got the best stuff ever coming up. Glorious." It sounds like whatever’s in store for Mrs. Flood is going to be big.
With a new companion, unanswered mysteries, and plenty of Doctor Who weirdness on the horizon, Season 2 is shaping up to be a wild ride. The adventure kicks off on April 12 on Disney Plus and BBC iPlayer.
