Warner Bros. has been heavily promoting their upcoming DC FanDome event, which is coming later this month. Now Dwayne Johnson has shared a promo video that teases a quick glimpse of his upcoming film Black Adam.

In the video, we see a lightning bolt tear through the screen and then some text comes up saying, "And The Man In Black." It’s at this point we get a glimpse of Johnson's Black Adam, but let’s be honest, it’s a just a silhouette of Dwayne Johnson.

I guess we can expect them to show off even more stuff from the film when the presentation takes place on August 22nd. The movie hasn’t started shooting yet, but they could still share concept art and test footage. This DC FanDome event is shaping up to be pretty exciting! It’s safe to say that it’s going to be a lot better than Comic-Con@Home.

Black Adam is going to be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) from a script by Adam Sztykiel. Johnson will take on the title role, and he’s been working on getting this project off the ground for years. He will be joined by the recently cast Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Perfect Date), who will take on the role of Atom Smasher.

When previously talking about his passion for the project, Johnson said:

“Black Adam has been with me for over ten years now. That gives you an idea of how passionate I am about this project. How passionate our Seven Bucks is about this project. Warner Bros., New Line Cinemas, DC, they have been so incredibly supportive over the years. In 2008 was when we first started talking about this. So it has required patience by all of us as partners. And I’m a much different man and actor than I was ten years ago. Even then, ten years ago, I just wanted to wait for the timing to feel right. And it feels like now, the man that I’ve become, I’m able to bring a little bit of my own life lessons and philosophies and engrain them in the DNA of this character.”

Black Adam producer Hiram Garcia also previously talked about Black Adam, saying:

"You're going to meet a character who's going through a journey. He was created as a villain. And through the love of the fans and through some great writers and storytellers, he evolved into an antihero. The antihero is a character that we always loved and that we responded to. But we understand that there's been many aspects to Black Adam through him. But ultimately this is a guy who, he does have a moral compass, as skewed as it may be. And ultimately he is a guy that everything has always been driven by his family and what happens to them and he is never opposed to unleashing hell when you cross him. So, I think when you add in those elements of that DNA, those are things we're very aware of."

Black Adam is currently still scheduled to hit theaters on December 22, 2021.
