First Teaser for Hulu's Football Comedy Series CHAD POWERS Starring Glen Powell

The first super quick teaser has been released for Hulu’s football comedy series Chad Powers, starring Glen Powell with an interesting addition.

Powell stars in the series that he co-created, co-wrote and executive produced as Russ Holliday/Chad Powers, with Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny, and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson.

Powell’s co-creator and co-writer on the series is Michael Waldron , who previously worked on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Heels, and Loki). Powell and Waldron co-wrote the pilot; with additional writing by Adam Fasullo. The series features episodes directed by Payman Benz and Tony Yacenda (American Vandal, Players).

The show’s synopsis reads: “When bad behavior nukes hotshot QB Russ Holliday's college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers.

“Based on the sketch produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions that aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli's Places series, the half-hour comedy from 20th Television will stream on Hulu.”

This looks a little silly, but we haven’t been able to really see the story play out yet. Powell is a good actor, and maybe this show will end up being a lot of fun. I look forward to checking it out.

Watch the tiny teaser below, and keep an eye out for the full trailer, coming soon. Chad Powers will be heading to Hulu sometime in 2025. Stay tuned for updates.
