Glen Powell Says He and Ryan Murphy Are Working on a Broadway Musical
Glen Powell is hot off his latest film, Anyone But You, a raunchy R-rated romcom in which he stars opposite Sydney Sweeney. Next up, we will see him lead the charge in the film Twisters, in which he will star opposite Daisy Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Daryl McCormack, Maura Tierney, Harry Hadden-Paton, Sasha Lane, Kieran Shipka, Nik Dodani, David Corenswet, Tunde Adebimpe, and Katy O’Brian.
Powell has other film projects in the works as well, but it turns out that he is also working on a Broadway musical.
In a recent interview with Vogue, Powell talked about one of the roles he is most recognized for, aside from Top Gun: Maverick, which is the Ryan Murphy-created horror comedy series Scream Queens. When asked if he has though about working with Murphy again on a future project, Powell said:
“Ryan Murphy and I, we’re actually making a musical together. We don’t really have any plans to be back in the television world together, but we’ll be on Broadway together.”
When asked if the project would be a musical version of Scream Queens, Powell responded:
“The Chad Radwell Musical. That’s the funniest idea. Just the Dickie Dollar Scholars. The amount of people that come up to me about Scream Queens is shocking, probably more than anything else I’ve done. Maybe it ages like a fine wine.”
He didn’t have any other information on what the musical would entail, or when we could expect to hear more, but we will let you know as it develops and more details are released.
