GODZILLA: KING OF MONSTERS Viral Marketing Tease Interesting Ruins Depicting Mothra

Godzilla is making a big comeback. After a rough start, things are starting to get interesting. I mean sure, there was obviously not quite enough of Godzilla or Heisenberg in the last Godzilla movie, but at least one of those things look to change, as well as who Godzilla will be doing battle with.

Some very fun viral marketing has launched for the new Godzilla: King of the Monsters movie that will be coming out in a couple years. As you know, there's a company called Monarch in this monsterverse, which is a special monster hunting unit who have been tracking these giant monsters and they are posting some of their findings on Twitter.

One of their latest photos shows a stone carving from the Temple of the Moth from the Yucca Province. The carving shows a moth with two grubs on either side. It's a small teaser for Mothra sure, but it's still very cool if you're a Godzilla fanatic.

I can't wait to see more things in the future of the other monsters that are to be in the film. I especially can't wait to see Godzilla fight them! Check out the full image below and make sure to check out Monarch's Twitter account @monarchSciences for more updates in the future.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is directed by Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r Treat, Krampus), and stars Oscar nominees Vera Farmiga, and Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins, both reprising their Godzilla roles.

When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Newcomers to the franchise include Kyle Chandler (The Wolf of Wall Street, Manchester by the Sea)Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) in her feature film debut, Bradley Whitford (Get Out)Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley)Charles Dance (Game of Thrones)O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton)Aisha Hinds (Star Trek Into Darkness), and Golden Globe nominee Zhang Ziyi (Memoirs of a Geisha, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).
