GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- Releasing in April 2021

We have new details for the latest chapter of the fighting game series Guilty Gear. Guilty Gear -Strive- will launch early next year and two more characters were revealed: Giovanna and Anji Mito. Giovanna is a new character who is a special operations unit officer with a wolf spirit companion. Her wolf spirit can possess her and give her super speed. Anji is making his return to modern Guilty Gear with his “graceful and fluid fighting style.”

Guilty Gear -Strive- will come in a few different editions. The Deluxe Edition of the game will include Season Pass 1 and cost $84.99 (standard costs $59.99, Season Pass 1 costs $29.99). The Ultimate Edition will include the Deluxe Edition plus the digital soundtrack and art, 5 additional colors for each character, and if you get the PS5 physical copy you’ll get a heavy metal case and premium box. Anyone who purchases the game before April 23, 2021 will also get special colors for Sol and Ky. Finally, Season Pass 1 will add 5 characters to the roster, 2 stages, Extra Character Color Pack, and a bonus story scenario. Not bad.

Guilty Gear -Strive- will be available for PC (via Steam), PS4, and PS5 on April 9, 2021 (Deluxe and Ultimate Editions will be available on April 6 with limited characters and story missions).
