Jeremy Renner Talks About the Possibility of Hawkeye Reuniting With the Original AVENGERS
The Avengers were first introduced as an entire group in the 2012 movie The Avengers. The movie wrapped up the first phase in the newly established Marvel Cinematic Universe, and once that movie hit, you could arguably say that fans were at one of their highest peaks of excitement for what was happening in Marvel movies.
That film set the stage, and established our core of badass superheroes that all brought their own skills and smarts to the team.
With viewers less enthusiastic these days about the future of the MCU, word has been going around that Marvel boss Kevin Feige is considering reuniting the original team in one of the upcoming Avengers films.
While a couple of these characters are dead and gone, meaning their appearances would have to be done using variants, it still might be cool to see them back together again.
In a recent interview with CBM, Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner talked about the possibility, saying:
"Maybe if enough time goes by, right? I think it kind of has at this point, but also what is the point of the narrative [and] the story? These are beloved characters. We did spend 23 films together essentially as a collective. What is the reason? What is the story? Do you have to do more after that? How do you ever resolve this? When is it ever gonna feel like, 'Everyone gets their little bow, nobody died, it feels great!' What happens here? I've got feelings about it. I think everybody does. I think the guys that died have feelings about it."
Of course they have feelings about it. I’m sure it was hard for Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr. when their story arcs came to a close, but they got closure, and their stories came to an end.
Who knows how they feel about coming back? I do think it would be cool to see them one more time though! What do you think?
