Here Are the Key Details for Season 5 of CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is launching its fifth season of content, and there’s quite a bit there. There are four new multiplayer maps, a new Ground War experience, two 6v6 maps, a new Gunfight map, and new game modes. There’s a lot to cover and the download isn’t small either coming in at 33.9 GB for PS4, 49.8 GB for Xbox One, 54.2 GB for PC players that own the full game, and 47.4 GB for PC players who only have Warzone.
As the chaos intensifies across Verdansk and the Armistice alliance becomes strained beyond its breaking point, a new force descends into the conflict. Shadow Company makes an explosively memorable entrance into the world of Modern Warfare, dropping in with style to make a statement and bolster the Allegiance, despite the company’s fireteam seemingly operating independently under their own set of rules.
In Season 5, Verdansk is opening up with Verdansk Stadium, Verdansk Train Station, and a freight train all coming to Warzone. There will also be more Exterior Ascenders throughout Verdansk to help you quickly scale tall buildings. Warzone is also going to see the new Mini Royale mode that only features the first and last five minutes of a normal Battle Royale game for speedier games. The new weapon rotation includes eight common, 13 uncommon, 15 rare, 19 epic, and 25 legendary weapons for you to utilize. Finally, Battle Pass consumers will gain access to Wartracks, which are songs that you can assign to vehicles to start playing as soon as you hop in.
If you own the full version of Modern Warfare, you’ll be greeted with four free maps when the season launches. Livestock will be available in Gunfight, Petrov Oil Rig, and Suldal Harbor for Multiplayer, and Verdansk International Airport for Ground War. The new game modes for the full game include Bare Bones which is a rotation of TDM, Domination, HQ, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed but with no Kill Streaks, Field Upgrades, or any other perks and Search and Destroy Double Down which is the same as normal Search and Destroy but with 12v12 instead of 6v6.
Players who purchase the new Battle Pass will gain access to two weapons, the ISO SMG and the AN-94 assault rifle, as well as other goodies including the operator Lerch, Wartracks, Rodion Operator Skin and Mission, an XP boost, and much, much more.
Season 5 of Modern Warfare launches today, August 5. Be sure to check out the official blog for all the details.
