Here's Our First Look at Parzival From Steven Spielberg's READY PLAYER ONE!
We finally have our first official photo from Stephen Spielberg's highly anticipated film adaptation of Ready Player One! It gives us our first look at Tye Sheridan as Wade Watts a.k.a. Parzival. As you can see he's he's got his VR visor and his haptic gloves on as he's logged into the virtual world of the OASIS.
This is Wade's "hideout", which is an old van where he stores his most treasured possessions. It's where the character goes to be alone because he's not happy with his living situation with his aunt and the several other people that stay in her trailer on the "stacks".
The image has that classic Spielberg glow to it. I'm so excited about this movie and I can't wait to see our first footage of it at Comic-Con! They better show some footage at Comic-Con! This is one hell of an epic adventure and I can't wait to see it play out on the big screen!
The story is set in 2045 and follows Parzival as he finds himself competing in an Easter egg hunt against ruthless foes known as The Sixers after the reclusive and enigmatic founder (Mark Rylance) of the game dies and offers his fortune as the grand prize. He and his friends will stop at nothing to keep The Sixers from getting that egg.
The movie has a wonderful cast that also includes Olivia Cooke, Simon Pegg, T.J. Miller, Ben Mendelsohn, Win Morisaki, Philip Zhao, and Hannah John-Kamen. The movie is set to be released on March 30, 2018.
