It Looks Like We Might Actually Get a JUSTICE LEAGUE Directors Cut... From Joss Whedon
After Justice League was released there was a petition launched by fans who wanted to see a Director's Cut of the film from Zack Snyder. A lot of fans backed that petition and I think it would be cool to see what his version of the film would have been like. Not long after, another petition was launched for a Joss Whedon director's cut of the film. A lot of fans pointed out that that petition was a joke, but... it looks like we might actually be getting a Joss Whedon Director's Cut of the film!
The news comes from IGN and Splash Report writer Mario F. Robles. He claims that it will be part of a Superman trilogy Blu-ray set. Here's what he said in his tweet.
For the home release of #JusticeLeague, WB is mulling over packaging it as a #Superman Trilogy, alongside MOS and BvS. And here's the kicker:

It would include an Extended Cut of JL.
BUT!
It'd be an extended version of the theatrical cut. Not Snyder's cut.
This is just a rumor at the moment. But, I think that if there's any kind of Director's Cut being released for Justice League it should be a Zack Snyder cut. I've heard that a Zack Snyder Director's Cut does not exist, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be able to take all the footage shot for the film and cut it together in the way that would show us his vision. Unfortunately, that probably won't happen. As I've said before, I doubt that the studio is going to want to pump any more money into this film.
What do you think about the possibility of seeing a Joss Whedon Director's Cut of Justice League?
