Jake Johnson and Omar Sy Returning to JURASSIC WORLD Franchise
Jake Johnson (New Girl, Stumptown) and Omar Sy (The Intouchables, X-Men: Days of Future Past) are returning to the Jurassic World franchise in the upcoming third film that is due out next year. The two actors appeared in the first Jurassic World film in 2015 as Lowery and Barry, respectively, and were last seen evacuating the island at the end of the film. Now the two will return to the characters, along with fellow actors Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as the previously reported Jurassic Park originals, Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum. The first Jurassic World film’s director, Colin Trevorrow, is also coming back for the third installment.
“In Jurassic World, Johnson played scene-stealing Lowery Cruthers, a sardonic control room operator on the Jurassic Park theme park island who was ready to give his life to save others. Sy portrayed Barry Sembene, a velociraptor trainer and colleague of Pratt’s character. Both of them made it off the island alive.”
We have no word on what their characters will be up to in the upcoming film, but it sounds like it’s going to be a blast with all the great Jurassic Park characters joining the party. I can’t wait to see it!
Jurassic World 3 is set to hit theaters on June 21, 2021. Are you excited?
