JEDI OUTCAST is Coming to Switch and PS4 with JEDI ACADEMY Coming Next Year

Yesterday, we learned that Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast was coming to the Nintendo Switch during the Nintendo Direct. However, that was only the tip of the announcement iceberg! Aspyr has reached out to let me know that not only will the game be coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 24, but it will also be releasing on the PlayStation 4. In addition, it’s not the only game that Aspyr and Lucasfilm are bringing to modern consoles.

  • As Kyle Katarn, agent of the New Republic, use your Lightsaber and the full power of the Force to combat a new evil plaguing the galaxy.

  • Choose wisely from an arsenal of 13 weapons including a disruptor rifle, thermal detonators, trip mines, and a Wookiee bowcaster.

  • Test your skills in 24 single-player missions, four epic boss fights and one unforgettable cantina.

Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is also coming to both consoles. There’s no firm release date or window outside of Early 2020 for Jedi Academy, but that’s still awesome! In addition to the main game, there will be online multiplayer maps brought in as well from the original game. Also, both games were developed to support GYRO aiming support for Joy-Cons.

Aspyr’s Elizabeth Howard said:

One of the most rewarding aspects of our work at Aspyr is bringing amazing experiences for iconic, global IP to more platforms and audiences. Delivering classic Star Wars games to modern consoles, with the experience maximized to take advantage of the latest controls and features, is a responsibility we take very seriously. We can’t wait to see fans reactions.

Well, I think a lot of fans will be extremely excited to hear this news. What do you think of this news?
