Joel McHale in Talks to Star in Series Adaptation of Valiant Comics' QUANTUM AND WOODY
Comic books are the cool new thing to develop TV series out of. They are prime real estate, and Valiant Comics is now becoming a major player in the game. With projects in the future like Bloodshot and Eternal Warrior in development, a new television project has been announced adapted by the Russo Brothers (Avengers: Infinity War). The name of said project is Quantum and Woody.
Quantum and Woody is a superhero comic book that has an emphasis on comedy. It's about two adoptive brothers who hate each other but gain superpowers that make it so they must unite with one another by bracelets every 24 hours or they die.
Joel McHale has recently been in talks to star in this series as the part of Woody, a wisecracking, womanizing slacker. This will not be new to Joel McHale who mastered that type of role on Community and refined his wisecracking on The Soup. He is perfect to play this type of character.
It will be cool to see the Russo Bros. work with McHale again. Before the directors were making big epic Marvel movies they were directing McHale in episodes of Community.
The other part of Quantum, Woody's African-American adopted brother, has yet to be announced. But several high profile names have been in talks. Once it is announced you can bet we'll share the news with you.
