John Goodman Reveals That Rosanne Will Be Killed Off in THE CONNERS
John Goodman recently confirmed in an interview with The Sunday Times that Roseanne Barr’s character Roseanne will be killed off in the upcoming spinoff series, The Conners.
A lot of fans have been wondering how ABC and the creative team behind the series would handle Roseanne in the upcoming series, and we now have our answer. While talking about The Conners and his character Dan, Goodman had this to say:
“It’s an unknown. I guess he’ll be mopey and sad because his wife’s dead.”
ABC canceled Roseanne after Barr made a racist remark about Valerie Jarrett, a former senior adviser to President Barack Obama. However, the network decided to proceed with the series without her in this new spinoff series. Barr is not involved with it at all. Here's the description for The Conners:
On the new show, after a sudden turn of events, the Conners are forced to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before. This iconic family – Dan, Jackie, Darlene, Becky and D.J. – grapple with parenthood, dating, an unexpected pregnancy, financial pressures, aging and in-laws in working-class America. Through it all, the fights, the coupon cutting, the hand-me-downs, the breakdowns – with love, humor and perseverance, the family prevails.
The Conners will feature the rest of the Roseanne revival cast, including Laurie Metcalf as Jackie, Sara Gilbert as Darlene, Alicia Goranson as Becky and Michael Fishman as D.J.
