JOHN WICK Director Chad Stahelski Set To Helm an Adaptation of The Twisted Comic KILL OR BE KILLED

John Wick director Chad Stahelski has jumped on board a new film project with his producing partner Basil Lwanyk, and it's a good one! He is set to helm a feature film adaptation of the Image Comics comic book Kill or Be Killed from Ed Brubaker, who is best known for his work on Captain America and the creator of the Winter Soldier

If you're not familiar with the story, it follows a depressed college student who attempts to commit suicide. "He survives due to unlikely events but is soon visited by a demon who explains that he was the one who spared the student's life. But there's a price to be paid: Going forward, the young man will be allowed to live one month for every person he kills."

That's such a fascinating and dark concept that will certainly make for a crazy film and it's a great project for Stahelski to take on. He's currently in the process of developing the Highlander remake.

Dan Casey, who previously adapted the Brubaker comic Incognito, which is being developed at Columbia Pictures, is attached to write the script. He also wrote a crime thriller produced by Shawn Levy that Lionsgate is releasing next year called Kin.

Have you read the Kill or Be Killed comic? Do you think it sounds like a film project that's worth looking forward to!?
