Karen Gillan Says Nebula Will Confront Some "Serious Daddy Issues" in AVENGERS: ENDGAME

Nebula hasn’t really had the best relationship with her dad, Thanos over the years. As you know, he put her through some epically seriously messed up shit. I’ve always had a soft spot for Nebula because of her past and it’s totally understandable as to why she is so twisted and messed up. Thanos beat her down and broke her physically, mentally, and spiritually.

It’s shouldn’t come as a surprise that the issues she has with Thanos will be coming to a head in Avengers: Endgame. In a recent interview with People, Karen Gillan said:

“What can I say? Thanos is her dad and she is definitely going to confront some serious daddy issues. That’s for sure.”

I’m really curious to see how her story arc will play out in Avengers: Endgame and how she will confront and deal with the issues that she has with Thanos. She previously said:

“I’ve been sworn to secrecy, but I definitely think that all of what we’ve been building towards, with all the backstories between Nebula and Thanos, is definitely going to come to a head in the Avengers film, and she’s definitely going to confront all of those traumatic memories. I definitely think she is going to have her moment.”

Gillan also previously teased that Nebula will have a “new BFF” in Endgame. She wouldn’t reveal who that BBF is, but she did tell Fandango, “I promise you it’s brilliant and unexpected and just so good.” She went on to say:

“I don’t know about any frenemies. She is on a clear mission, as everybody is, to deal with someone with a glove, and I think that is the most important issue. So I think people are grouping together to take care of this task.”

I assume that her new BFF will be Tony Stark, because as we saw in the Endgame trailer, they are stuck together on a ship drifting through space. Nebula and Tony Stark hanging out together definitely is an unexpected match up and it will be interesting to see them form a relationship.
