Kate Hudson is an L.A. Basketball Executive in New Trailer For Netflix Series RUNNING POINT
Netflix has released the first trailer for their upcoming Los Angeles basketball series, Running Point. The series is produced and developed by Mindy Kaling for WB Television, and the great cast includes Kate Hudson, Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Jay Ellis, Max Greenfield, and Justin Theroux.
The series is created and showrun by David Stassen (The Mindy Project, History of the World: Part II), with writing by Stassen, Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz. Episodes are directed by James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now, The End of the Tour, The Circle). It's produced by Jordan Rambis; made by Kaling International in association with Warner Bros. Television as part of her overall deal. The series is executive produced by Kate Hudson, Howard Klein, Jeanie Buss, Linda Rambis.
The show’s synopsis reads:
“When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) is appointed president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises – and also her family business. Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she was the right choice for the job. From the hitmaking team of Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen, Running Point puts a bold twist on the underdog comedy.”
