Konami Drops 2 New YU-GI-OH! Video Game Trailers at Gamescom 2021

During Gamescom 2021, Konami released two new trailers for fans of Yu-Gi-Oh! to enjoy for upcoming video game titles. First, they released a new trailer for the highly anticipated Master Duel official simulator that sent the internet into a rage.

The game looks absolutely great and it’s exciting to see the different avatars/pets that we’ll get to use. At the end of the trailer, it states that players will have access to over 10,000 cards, but it does say in fine print that some cards will only be available from events or in-game purchases. This is why the internet is outraged. We still don’t know anything about how Master Duel will be monetized or what cards will be available and so everyone is making assumptions.

Please calm down until we know actual information! For all we know, it’s referring to alternate artworks or various levels of holos. Sadly, there’s still no release date or even a release window, but it will eventually be available for free on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

The other trailer is for the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh!: Rush Duel game for Nintendo Switch. The game will be the first time western audiences will be able to officially try out this new way to play the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game that’s designed to keep the game moving quickly. It looks like a lot of fun and can’t wait for it to release this fall.
