Lucy Hale Cast as Titular Character in KATY KEENE

A couple of months ago it was announced that Riverdale was getting a spin-off in Katy Keene. Since then, we’ve heard of some casting announcements, and we finally know that Lucy Hale has been cast as the titular character. If you’re unfamiliar with Katy, she’s described as follows:

“[A] twentysomething New Yorker who aspires to be a fashion designer. When she’s not working as a personal shopper at a luxury department store, she’s navigating friendship and dating in the big city.”

My big question is how will the CW make it all CW-y. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Michael Grassi are writing the spin-off as well as serving as executive producers alongside Greg Berlanti, Jon Goldwater, and Sarah Schechter.
