MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: ICEBORNE Launched Second Free Update and Provides Dates for HORIZON ZERO DAWN Collaboration Events
Capcom has released the second free update for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne for console users. This update brought a few new additions including some new monsters, a new region, new weapons, and even a new elder dragon.
The new region is the Tundra Region. This is the home of monsters like the Barioth and Viper Tobi-Kadachi. There are also exclusive new materials to the Tundra Region that will increase your weapon’s max level for augmentation when used. The final new addition with the Tundra Region is Tempered Ruiner Nergigante, a tempered Elder Dragon.
Another new addition to the game is the Stygian Zinogre. This is another breed of Zinogre, but instead of lightning attacks, they fight using “dragon elemental.” You can harvest them for materials to create gear like what you see in the image above.
Finally, the game has added Defender Weapons. These weapons are designed to be combined with the Guardian Armor and Hunter Helper feature in order to help newer players speedily finish the main game so they can enjoy all the content that Iceborne has to offer them.
Capcom has also revealed that the second part of the Horizon Zero Dawn collaboration will begin on December 12. The third round will start on December 26. What’s your favorite part of the update?
