MULAN 'Epic Filmmaking' Featurette Shows Off Liu Yifei and Donnie Yen's Skills

Fans can almost watch Disney’s Mulan film. I am extremely excited to be able to see it eventually (not sure I’ll shell out $30 in addition to my Disney+ subscription for it), and a new featurette for the film called “Epic Filmmaking” tells us a bit more about filming the movie. Director Niki Caro talks about how perfect Liu Yifei has been for the role of Mulan. She also talks about how they had to shoot a sword scene with Donnie Yen in slow-mo. This just looks great!

When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father.
