BBC has released the first sneak peek trailer for the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special 2024, titled Joy to the World. The teaser was shown as part of the BBC's Children in Need charity coverage this past weekend, and it’s introduced by Ncuti Gatwa's the Doctor, who stars in the clip opposite Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan's new character, Joy.

This clip sees the two characters face to face with a mysterious box-like device in a treehouse, where we find out this special will see the return of the Villengard Corporation.

While the Doctor starts to speak to the hologram that emerges from the box, Joy realizes they are not alone in the jungle, and soon enough they are face to face with a gigantic dinosar!

It looks like it’s going to be an exciting ride for Doctor Who fans this holiday season. Check out the teaser below, and watch Joy to the World when it premieres on Disney Plus in the US and BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK on December 25th.
