New STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW Image Teases Connection with AHSOKA
We’ve got a new image to share with you for Lucasfilm’s upcoming Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and it seems to have an interesting connection to Ahsoka.
The image was shared by Empire, and shows Jude Law's Jedi character, Jod Na Nawood, in a cave of some kind of mysterious writing etched into the wall.
The writing resemblance the runes and glyphs that were seen repeatedly in Ahsoka. A connection between the shows would’ve be all that surprising as Skeleton Crew is set in the same era as Ahsoka and The Mandalorian.
The series has been described as ”a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.”
Skeleton Crew follows the journey of four kids “who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy, crossing paths with the likes of Jod Na Nawood, the mysterious character played by Law.
“Finding their way home—and meeting unlikely allies and enemies—will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”
The series was initially pitched to Lucasfilm as “Goonies in Star Wars," and it was created by Jon Watts (Spider-Man). The series also stars Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong. Nick Frost also stars in the series as a droid.
The episodes in the show will be directed by Bryce Dallas Howard, The Daniels, David Lowery, Jake Schreier, and Lee Isaac Chung. The Mandalorian's Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will executive produce.
The film will stream on Disney+ on December 3, 2024, with the first two episodes. Check out the new trailer below.
