Of Course THE SIMPSONS Predicted The Disney and Fox Merger Back in 1998
The Simpsons has once again predicted a big crazy event and cultural moment. Back in 1998, during the 10th season of the series, an episode aired called "When You Dish Upon A Star." There was a scene in the episode that showed the outside of Fox studios and there's a big sign in the front of the building that reads, "A Division Of Walt Disney Co".
As you know, today the deal between Disney and Fox was made official and it's just insane that the creative team behind The Simpsons predicted this, among several other things. They must have psychics or prophets on staff.
As the scene in The Simpsons plays out there is a Star Wars poster on the wall in an office where Ron Howard is pitching film ideas to producer Brian Grazier. Ron Howard ended up directing a Star Wars movie. I wonder what other future events will come to pass that The Simpsons predicted!
