Oh, Brother... Now Fans Have Started a Petition For a Joss Whedon Cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE

Ya gotta love passionate fans, but this is ridiculous. Not long after DC fans launched a petition to see a full Zack Snyder director's cut of Justice League, a new group of fans has launched a petition to see a Joss Whedon director's cut of the movie. The petition reads:

Everyone who saw Justice league can attest to the sheer genius that Joss Whedon brought to the movie. If he had been allowed to bring his entire vision to the screen, the movie would have been that much better. Examples of his touches include "Booya" as uttered by cyborg and the now classic line "My man" that has now become a battle cry by fishermen the world over after Aquaman showed he could speak to fish AND quip at the same time. Let's make it happen. Join me and together we can see the rest of the mustachioed footage left on the cutting room floor.

What's funny about this whole thing is that the Justice League movie we ended up seeing is basically the Joss Whedon cut of the film. Sure, there's stuff that ended up on the cutting room floor, but that happens with pretty much every movie that's ever been made. These days, that stuff ends up on the special features of the home entertainment release.

As far as I'm concerned, we got our Joss Whedon cut of the film. It would be much more interesting to see a Zack Snyder cut of the film. I doubt that will ever happen, though. There's no way Warner Bros. is going to pump any more money into this film.

What do you think about the latest petition?
