PADDINGTON Director Paul King in Talks To Direct Disney's PINOCCHIO

Disney wants to get rolling on their live-action adaptation of Pinocchio, and they are currently in talks with Paddington director Paul King to helm the film. I've enjoyed both of the Paddington films and I think King is a good choice to take on Pinocchio.

The film will be based on the original 1941 Disney animated classic. That's one of my favorite animated films. Not only is the animation beautiful, but it also kinda scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. That whole turning into a jackass scene messed me up.

The film is being written by Wonder screenwriter Jack Thorne and the studio hopes to start shooting this fall.

Disney is seeing a lot of success from the live-action remakes of their classic animated films, and because of that, they aren't going to stop with this trend anytime soon.

I'm sure you all know the story of Pinocchio, but if not, it's based on a story from Carlo Collodi and it follows the adventures of a wooden puppet who wants to be a real live boy. Along the way, he meets Jiminy Cricket, who becomes his conscience.
