PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 7 Is Moving Forward with Franchise Writer Christopher Landon
Paramount Pictures and Blumhouse are pressing forward with Paranormal Activity 7, and they have hired franchise writer Christopher Landon to write the script. He wrote Paranormal Activity parts 2 through 5, and he also directed the fifth movie as well. He also directed the two Happy Death Day movies, which were great.
During an interview with The Evolution of Horror, Blumhouse head Jason Blum opened up a bit about the film, saying:
“We are doing a new Paranormal Activity. We have Chris Landon, who wrote almost all of them, he directed one of them, he’s really kind of the showrunner of the Paranormal Activity. series, and he’s coming up with Paranormal Activity 7. Which is not the title of the movie, but it is the seventh Paranormal Activity.”
This is a horror franchise that I’ve actually enjoyed watching over the years. It’s not one of my favorites, but all of the films have had some fun and scary moments. They’ve managed to keep me entertained for the most part, so I might as well keep watching them while they keep making them. I’m curious to see what Landon has planned for this next story. I’m sure, like most of the movies, it will tie into the other films in some way.
Paranormal Activity 7 is currently slated to be released on March 19, 2021. What do you think about Paranormal Activity getting another sequel?
