Robert Pattinson Petitions to Be Eaten Alive in Funny New Clip From MICKEY 17
Robert Pattinson stars in a new clip from his upcoming sci-fi dark comedy Mickey 17, in which he wakes up being dragged by a large creature from another planet that he assumes is getting ready to devour him.
The clip is titled “Saving Me For the Kiddos,” which is what Mickey figures as the animal brings him to its den of offspring, and he bids them to take big bites, as to get it over with quickly.
When they transport him out of the den, he seems offended that they don’t think he’s good enough to eat and he shouts at them that he has “perfectly good meat” despite being reprinted many times. It’s a lot of fun.
Mickey 17 is directed by Bong Joon-ho (Parasite), and it’s based on Edward Ashton’s novel, Mickey7. The film also stars Toni Collette, Mark Ruffalo, Steven Yeun, and Naomi Ackie.
In the film, the unlikely hero, “Mickey Barnes (Pattinson), has found himself in the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who demands the ultimate commitment to the job… to die, for a living.”
The description of the book reads: “The Martian meets Dark Matter in Edward Ashton’s high concept science fiction thriller, in which Mickey7, an ‘expendable,’ refuses to let his replacement clone Mickey8 take his place. Dying isn’t any fun…but at least it’s a living.”
Check out the clip below, and watch Mickey 17 in theatres on March 7th.
