Roku Launches Affordable Wireless Television Speakers
Home entertainment systems are great, but they can be expensive. If they aren't expensive, they're a real pain in the ass to set up, which isn't ideal either. For that reason Roku is hoping to rope in quite a bit of people with it's new line of wireless speakers, which retail for just $200.
There's a catch, these speakers are only compatible with Roku compatible TV sets, which include Insignia, TCL, Sharp and Hitachi. The speakers are wifi enabled and can be placed around your room freely in an order that makes sense. For me, that would be closer to our couch, as our television has about the worst audio quality of all time.
If you're looking to buy these new speakers, now is the time to do so. The product won't actually start rolling out until October, but the company is offering pre-orders at a discounted rate of $149.99, which is an even better bargain! After July 24, they'll cost $179.99...so make up your mind whether or not you need this in your life, and let us know in the comments if you intend to buy.
