Sabrina Carpenter Joins Cast of the Coming-of-Age Comedy WORK IT

Sabrina Carpenter is a singer and former Disney Channel star most notably for her role in Girl Meets World. She will now be one of the stars of the dance-themed comedy Work It from STXfilms. She joins Liza Koshy and Keiynan Lonsdale in the film which is being produced by Elysa Kolovitz Dutton, Alicia Keys, and Leslie Morgenstein with Laura Terruso set to direct.

“Terruso (Good Girls Get High) is on board to direct the coming-of-age comedy that centers on an awkward teenage girl (Carpenter) who, after being rejected from her high school’s dance team, assembles a crew of bold and fearless misfits to compete against them in a national dance championship.”

The screenplay comes from Alison Peck and no release date is known yet.
