Stadia and GeForce Now coming to New 2021 LG TVs

We’re in CES times and that means that tech companies are trying to wow consumers in various ways. One way LG wants to win over TV users is by announcing that their 2021 lines of OLED, QNED, and NanoCell TVs will natively support Google Stadia and NVIDIA’s GeForce Now. Stadia will be supported when the TVs ship out in the second half of the year while GeForce Now will come later, during an undisclosed future.

In case you’re unfamiliar, these are both gaming services that allow you to stream games through the cloud. This allows you to play games on high settings using the company’s servers so you don’t need a very expensive PC. You can play using something as minimal as a Chromebook. I know that I’ve enjoyed my time playing Cyberpunk 2077 via Stadia on my Chromebook. These services are still relatively new, but appear to be gaining some ground and the expansion into the television market is sure to help build an audience.

I also want to note that according to The Verge, the new 2021 LG TV models will have a “Game Optimizer” section in the settings to address items like refresh rate and input lag.
