STAR WARS: MACE WINDU Comic Book Preview and Details Shared
Marvel Comics and Lucasfilm have shared a preview and details for Star Wars: Mace Windu #1. The new comic series follows Samuel L. Jackson’s legendary Jedi on an early adventure prior to the events of The Clone Wars.
The description for the comic reads: “Mace Windu has proven to be one of Star Wars’ most popular Jedi. From hanging out with Yoda on the Jedi Council, to besting Jango Fett, to taking on Darth Sidious, few guardians of peace and justice have left as great an impact. (He even teamed up, buddy-cop style, with Jar Jar Binks in a memorable Star Wars: The Clone Wars whodunnit. Bombad.) Little is known about Mace’s younger years, however, and thanks to Marvel that will soon change.”
Not only is the story going to be set before the Clone Wars, it’s before the purple-sabered Windu was even a Jedi Master. In this first look, Mace arrives at the ocean moon of Devshi, and he’s hot on the trail of some escaped droid convicts.
The upcoming Star Wars comic book series comes from Marc Bernardin and Georges Jeanty. It’s also timed to release ahead of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace's 25th anniversary.
Mace Windu #1 arrives February 7 and is available for pre-order on ComiXology and at your local comic shop.
